Notifications
Stay on top of your platform with real-time in-app notifications for orders, draws, and status changes.
Overview
The notification system keeps you and your team informed about important events on your platform. Notifications appear in real time via the bell icon in your dashboard header — no need to constantly check individual pages.
Notification Types
| Type | When It Fires | Example | |---|---|---| | New order | A customer purchases tickets | "New order: 5 tickets for Win a PS5 Pro — £14.95" | | Draw complete | A scheduled or flash draw finishes | "Draw complete: Win a PS5 Pro — Winner: Sarah J." | | Competition published | A competition goes live | "Competition published: Luxury Watch Collection" | | Competition ended | A competition reaches its end date | "Competition ended: Summer Cash Prize" | | Status change | A competition transitions status | "Win a PS5 Pro moved from upcoming to active" | | Team activity | A team member performs an action | "Mark D. created a new competition" |
Viewing Notifications
Bell Icon
Click the bell icon in the top-right of your dashboard to open the notification feed. Unread notifications show a count badge on the bell.
Notification Feed
The feed shows notifications in reverse chronological order (newest first). Each notification displays:
- Event type icon
- Description of what happened
- Time since the event (e.g. "2 minutes ago")
- Read/unread indicator
Mark as Read
- Click a notification to mark it as read
- Use Mark all as read to clear all unread notifications at once
- Read notifications remain in the feed for reference
Notification Timing
Notifications are delivered in real time using Convex's reactive data layer. When an event occurs, the notification appears in your feed within seconds — no polling or manual refresh required.
Tip
Keep the dashboard open in a browser tab during peak hours to catch new orders and important events as they happen. The bell icon badge updates automatically.
Team Notifications
If you have team members (Pro plan and above), notifications are shared across the team. All team members see the same notification feed, making it easy to stay coordinated.
Note
Activity notifications (like "Mark D. created a new competition") help teams stay aware of what colleagues are doing without needing to check in directly.
